About Jincy Chittilappilly

Jincy began her nursing career in 2008 and completed a Master’s degree in Advanced Medical and Surgical Nursing in 2012. She has extensive experience across intensive care, emergency care, and medical and surgical wards.

Since 2019, Jincy has worked in advanced clinical practice as a Clinical Nurse Specialist at Eastern Health Melbourne, specialising in:

  • Gastroenterology
  • Hepatology
  • Upper Gastrointestinal care
  • Colorectal care

In 2021, she joined the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital as part of the research team, coordinating clinical trials in Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD) until 2025. She has also been a strong advocate for the Crohn’s Colitis Care clinical management software.

In December 2024, she completed a Master of Nurse Practitioner degree and is currently expanding her procedural skills in endoscopy, performing upper GI endoscopy and colonoscopy as a trainee at Caboolture Hospital.

Jincy has worked privately as both a Gastroenterology Nurse Practitioner and an Aged Care Nurse Practitioner.

She also contributes to the education of future Nurse Practitioners as an Adjunct Associate Lecturer at The University of Queensland.

As an endorsed Nurse Practitioner, Jincy is committed to evidence-based, patient-centred care and advancing clinical practice, particularly in gastroenterology and primary care.
